The real deal
Stories, adventures, and living life
Angelo “Superjab” Lo Presti was born in Sicily and started traveling and making short films at the tender age of 15. Those passions have been in his blood ever since. In December 2014, he embarked upon his latest epic Adventure—an on-going shoestring tour of Central and South America. He shares his adventures in his web series at superjab.com.
At the age of 19 he moved to London, UK and later graduated with a BSc Computer Animation (honors) degree. In those formative years, he also wrote his first book and screenplay. In 2008 he travelled and worked across Australia & Asia. It was during that year on the road that he developed an unquenchable thirst passion for minimalist travel.
Returning to academia, Angelo completed his Master’s in animation, then followed his dream of working as an animator in a feature film all the way to Vancouver, BC. One year later and one more dream fulfilled, he move to Berlin and worked as creative director for a startup before finding a partner for his own venture, Whole Design Studios. Their work has won prestigious awards and was featured on various design websites, blogs and magazines.
He also wrote the UX Design course for the startup CareerFoundry, which became one of the best-known online schools in UX design and web development in Europe, and was also lead course mentor for UX Design.
The Superjab brand was born in September 2014! The Interactive Travel Adventure was officially launched with a flight to Cuba on December 10, 2014. Since then, he has continued to travel, produce weekly video content, and also pioneer interactivity in the travel blogging space. Each week, his subscribers have the power to choose his next destination and weigh in on his activities.
Since embarking last year, Angelo has learned Spanish while traveling through Cuba, Mexico, Guatemala, El Salvador, Honduras, Nicaragua, Costa Rica, Panamá, Colombia, Ecuador, Perú, Bolivia, Chile—and now Argentina.
He has also been featured in radio programs, blogs & magazines, and was selected from over 500 applicants to participate in the Colombian adventure reality TV show “Expedición Cóndor de los Andes”. This involved a nearly one-month journey with a troupe of like-minded adventurers participating in extreme sports while also shooting is day-to-day life in Colombia.
The Interactive Travel Adventure wrapped in Buenos Aires on December 31, 2015, after 12 months on the road. And now it’s time for him to find his next challenge!
